Back in 2005 there were two ‘gateway’ albums that opened up the world of country music to me after some dabblings with Garth Brooks, Mindy McCready and Shania Twain in the 90’s. Those two albums were Sugarland’s ‘Twice the Speed of Life’ and Keith Urban’s ‘Days Go By’. After some exploration of Keith’s back catalogue a fairly solid mancrush was developed which culminated in me seeing him live in Birmingham on the ‘Days Go By’ tour – the last time he ever played live on these shores.
